Report: Naftogaz Ukrainy sees talks with Gazprom late in March
MOSCOW, Mar 21 (PRIME) -- Ukrainian energy holding Naftogaz Ukrainy expects to hold negotiations with Russian gas giant Gazprom on supplies and transit of natural gas late in March in Europe, Naftogaz Ukrainy CEO Andrei Kobolev said in an interview to Bloomberg TV broadcast on Wednesday.
The two companies will discuss the contracts, debts under the contracts, and compensations of losses, Kobolev said.
The Stockholm arbitration court ruled on March 1 that Gazprom must pay Naftogaz Ukrainy U.S. $2.56 billion for non-shipment of gas. Gazprom said that the decision misbalanced the companies’ interests and requested termination of gas transit and delivery contracts with Ukraine.
